Firm Leadership
Jon Mansfield, Founder of Mansfield Investment Management, is a seasoned investor and financial services professional with 30 years experience navigating complex capital structures and delivering bespoke solutions in transaction origination, business development, investment management, lending, deal structuring and investor relations.
Previously, Mr. Mansfield served as Partner and COO of the Private Equity Group at Ares Management Corporation, where he helped manage and oversee all of the operating aspects of the group covering investor relations, new product development, financial planning & budgeting and human capital management. Earlier, he was a Partner of Praesidian Capital and a Managing Partner of Praesidian Capital Europe, where he focused on providing senior and subordinated debt along with growth capital to private lower middle market businesses in the U.S. and Europe. Before that, he worked in the distressed debt group at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and was a Founding Partner of WP Global Partners, a multi-billion-dollar private equity asset manager.
Mr. Mansfield received his MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
